What I’m reading
I picked up a “pretty” copy of this book about a year ago because it’s a classic and I like the story (I know only because I’ve seen the movie version of it) and thought that it would display nicely in my home. The other day I just got around to reading it and have read through her childhood and time at Lowood and I really love this book. I have seen the movie before but it didn’t make me feel deeply the sense of all the basic necessities in Jane’s childhood that she lacked. It makes me realize that I take for granted all the simple things that I am blessed with. I have people in my life that love me unconditionally, I am not cold and I am not hungry. The perspective I gained has made me realize I’m such a lucky girl.
