tumblrA lot going on in the garden
We are getting raised gardening beds installed in our garden today. I have been wanting them for a while now because the soil we have in our plot is really not that good - it is very clay, very dense and has horrible drainage. For the past year I’ve been growing things in whatever containers I could find filled with good potting soil just to see if I was capable of growing things that we can eat. Even in those little pots we were able get quite a few things out it like strawberries, snap peas, snow peas, lettuce spinach, squash, tomatoes and more. Not everything was entirely successful but I learned a lot doing it and I finally feel confident enough to commit to planting in these raised beds for seasons to come.
