Thursdays
Cooking is one thing that I enjoy doing. I feel delighted when I make good food. It is a pleasure living in Northern California where fresh, local, natural ingredients are abundant. I have a garden I adore and feel proud when I cook and eat the veggies I grow.
Every Thursday my friend Cindy who is also our photographer for Pineapple Seed and *emera bags and I partner up and cook a meal together. I adore her photography and she is one of my best friends. We cook from our favorite recipes and recipes that we've learned from our families.
A lot of the recipes I cook are from scratch. I like to know where my food comes from and how it became what it is. Cindy likes simple recipes with few ingredients and steps. But what we both share is a love of using natural or organic, meats, fruits and veggies that are in season.
Since you can find stone fruits everywhere this summer we made Warm Stone Fruit with Honey. A recipe from Donna Hay. We served the fruit with Honey Lavender ice cream (from Bi-Rite) on the side. It was super easy to make and perfect for when you're having friends over and need a quick dessert. .
Please check out Cindy's blog post on our Cherry Pie Thursday. You will be treated to loads of beautiful photos.
This is our place to discuss our interests in designs, lifestyle, arts, photography, eatings, etc. We are Mr. & Mrs. Pineapple Seed, Soraj and Nathiya Prathnadi.
