Thursdays: Shrimp and Pork Wontons

These little dumplings were made the easy way, made from store bought wonton wrappers. The filling was made the night before and all we had to do for dinner prep was wrap the wontons.
Ingredients for the filling:
1/2 pound of natural ground pork
1/2 pound of shrimp
1 TBS of grated ginger
3 TBS soy sauce
a bit of sherry wine, sugar, sesame oil and white pepper.
Everything goes in the food processor. Pulse until combined. When done you can fry up a small piece to make sure the flavor is right. At this point you can adjust.
Fill the wontons one by one. Bring water to a boil and add the wontons. Let boil for about 8 minutes. They should all float to the top when they’re done.
We served it with a sauce made from a combination of soy sauce, black vinegar and chili oil.
