Hello Japan!
We just came back from a quick four day trip to Japan. We’ve been talking about going for a while and finally made it. We love Ramen and Sushi and were eating three full meals each day – all delicious. We had a guide name Junko on our first day and she showed us around Tokyo – from Tokyo station to Shibuya, Omotesando, Harajuku, the Meiji Shrine, the Emperial Palace Gate and Ginza, which was a lot of walking but it was great to see everything. On our own we made it to Kamakura, the Fish Market and did some shopping. We spent time at the Uniqlo, Muji, Daimaru and a few independent shops in the Shimokitazawa neighborhood. Not everyone speaks English when we ask for directions, but people were so kind and willing to help. The lovely couple in the last photo below walked us four blocks in the rain to show us to the Kinokuniya bookstore in Shinjuku. Can’t wait to go back.
